Has anyone elses child limped for a week with no known cause??

Johnny is getting bloodwork done today..he has been walking with a limp (basically won't bend his left leg while walking and it hurts to put pressure on it).

We have no clue what he did. He already had an x-ray which showed all looked ok...

Just curious if anyone has gone through this?!

Mabey get another xray. When my DD hurt her foot, we took her the ped, they sent us for xrays down the hall. Ped saw nothing! But I knew something was wrong. She was limping and hardly putting pressure on her foot. Took her the next day to a pediatric orthopedist, they did and xray, and sure enough there was a fracture in one of the bones in her foot.
Good luck, I hope it is nothing!

I would get another Xray.

DS broke his leg when he was 1.5 (although he wouldnt stand at all).

The ER Xrayed it, saw nothing, told us to go home and ice it.

The next day, he was clearly in a lot of pain, so I took him to a pediatric orthopedist and his leg was broken in two places.

Apparently bc all the bones arent fused or something, it takes a specially trained ortho to see hairline fractures, or not just a clear break in children.

I would go to the SB ER, he will be seen by a ped ortho, and they have a ped ortho practice on site, that you can ONLY get an appt with if you are seen in the SB ER first.
