Things to do besides gamble in AC

around New Years Eve?

We are going with my Dad, his girlfriend and another couple....my dad's a BIGGGGGGG gambler so we can basically see any show or go to any attraction or dine anywhere we want in any resort.

DH & I are NOT gamblers and I haven't been to AC in years. I'm not planning on spending 3 days inside the casino.

We are staying at Borgata & we will probably go to the NYE party there & we are seeing Carrie Underwood on Jan 1st. I booked some spa stuff already.

I was thinking of getting a cabana at the harrah's pool after dark, but I'm thinking that crowd is going to be way young.
Any suggestions for GREAT things to do in AC?

The crowd at the pool at Harrah's after dark is WAY WAY YOUNG. My sister & I enjoyed some great people watching from the ice cream counter right there. We kept saying...oh good lord, that is not for us.

It is nice to rent a cabana during the day - you have waitress service, a tv, ipod docking station. You can order lunch. There's hot tubs all over plus the pool. I will say it it's not tropical hot but it sure beats a bench on the boardwalk in the winter time.

The only other things I can think of in the immediate area is some outlet shopping and there's a Ripley's Believe it or Not on the Boardwalk. Nothing great though.

Just want to say that we stayed at Harrahs on a busy week (in April). We actually chose Harrahs b/c of the pool. Well, the first morning there, we get our bathing suits on are all excited and when we go look for a seat, we notice the place is disgusting. So dirty. It seemed that the they never cleaned up from the night club the night before The pool was also cloudy. We didn't even stay 5 mins. So before you pay to rent a cabana I would go check it out. I've heard/read people rave about it so I'm thinking it was b/c it was so busy when we went??

the borgata has an amazing spa (two actually), great restaurants and bars! I don't gamble and always have a ball there. and shops too! have fun!

Harrah's is so much fun! We have never rented a cabana but just hanging out by the pool having drinks is alot of fun.

I also love the Irish Pub (I believe its on St. James Pl). It's just a laid back bar with good food and a good atmosphere.
