Going to Punta Cana in January! What to wear...
I assume it is cover ups and bathing suits all day...how many to bring for 7 days? I assume that means 6 days since the last day I'm traveling home. Would 4 be enough? Did you wash yours in the sink?
For dinner I will probably wear sundresses and maybe a fancier dress for a club. Did you wear heels or mainly flat sandals? I have nice jeweled flat sandals, and I figure I will wear them a lot. Should I bring a pair of strappy heels too?

when i go there, i dont really wear heels but thats just me. I always bring way more bathing suits than necessary but you could always wash them out at night. (I'm vain so I hate repeating outfits because we always take so many pictures).
I always bring bathing suits and cover ups. Sundresses or dressy shorts for dinner and sometimes we change for the club depending on how the club is. Most of them are very relaxed so you can wear whatever you're comfortable in.
Also if you plan on doing an excursion think about the clothes you might need for that. Like ATVs or horseback riding you need sneakers, long pants etc.
Im jealous!!! Which resort are you going to?

Have fun..it's beautiful there.
I brought 4 bathing suits and rinsed them in the sink. I mainly wore nice flats, but I did bring a pair of strappy shoes with a small heal.
One thing we didn't think of, was the men need collared shirts for dinner.
Somehow we didn't pack any.
We had to buy 2 from the gift shop
Just something to remember.
And don't forget the bug spray! Definitely needed at night. Something else we had to buy at the gift shop

I went there in July. I wore bathing suits and coverup dresses during the day. At night I wore mostly little dresses (as you said you will bring) and nicer flat sandals. It is not that fancy there at night. I don't even remember stepping foot in the club...I have no idea where it was. We mostly had drinks outside at the bar with live music. You can really get away with anything there. Have fun!

We went the first week in Jan & it rained most of the time. So I would def bring a light sweater or jacket. It was chilly and damp. But when the sun came out it was beautiful.

You will NOT be disappointed!! We went there on our honeymoon and loved every minute of it. It is so beautiful. As for clothes, I brought a bunch of bathing suits. It depends on how many you want to wear. I didn't bring too many bc I didn't want different tan lines. A couple nights I wore wedges with dress shorts or dresses. Flats def work too with sun dresses. Have a great time!! You will really love it!!!
ETA: Make sure ur DH brings nice pants like khakis or something for the restaurants.

We went there this past July and loved it! You will probably end up at the pool and beach a lot, so definitely bring several bathing suits and cover ups. They have dress codes for all the restaurants, but you don't have to get really fancy. Just a simple summery dress or skirt and top is fine. They offer a free horseback riding trip along the beach, so bring a pair of jeans and sneakers too if you're interested in doing that.
