Ours was around 30,000 for basic. In fairness...the entire thing needs to be gutted, plumbing heating and electrical replaced.

We just finished this project in our house. Our basement was completely unfinished. We finished the whole basement including creating a bathroom with stand up shower, new windows, relocating washer/dryer and tiling the whole floor. It came out to just about 20K. We got estimates across the board from $17-$33K . Unfortunatly even with a good deal on labor, the materials are still costly.

That doesn't seem TOO bad. Did you do it yourself or have an outside contractor?

im finishing mine right now and Id say with everything including a ductless central air system It came to about 24,000 but we also did a few extras, we could have done it cheaper though. Our contractor is amazing and he charges for his labor and you pay for everything else. It worked out great like this for us

We received a similar quote of around 24,000 but our basement doesn't need to be gutted and is fairly small.

Our basement was completely unfinished. We spent about $20K and my DH did all the work himself. The cost of the materials drove the cost up for us.
