We keep one in each bathroom, behind and to the side of the toilet-it's not a focal point and it's an OXO so it's in a discreet case where at least it's not going from toilet to floor and it's not out in the open...

right next to the bowl i seem to have friends who need it so often (eh) i do rinse it off outside every so often and spray it down with bleach or just buy a new one. Actually i could use a new one soon.

next to the toilet... if im going to hide in then someone who needs to use it wont be able to find it... id like them to be able to use it if they need it...
it is in a holder tho

In the linen closet in the hallway. Plungers gross me out and I don't keep it near the toilet bc I don't want my 3 year old playing with it.
That is where mine is... only i dont have a 3 year old... it just grosses me out!

One in each bathroom. They are tucked behind the toilet, as much as possible. I want it to be somewhat visible, in case someone needs it and doesn't want to yell out in the middle of a party "HEY, MY CRAP WON'T GO DOWN THE TOILET, I NEED SOME HELP IN HERE!!!!"....  
Same for us, though I would have worded this a little less bluntly
