BF moms of babies with teeth- let's talk nipples!
Did your nipples start to get sore once their teeth came in, even if they didn't bite? Kieran has 2 teeth- first one came in about a month and a half ago. He's only bitten me a handful is times, and he never really.clamps down, it's always a quick bite and release, never too bad, hasn't drawn blood or anything. For the past few weeks, my nipples have been SO sore while I'm nursing. It reminds me a lot of when I first started BFing when he was born and it would hurt like h e l l for like 20 seconds when he first latched and then it was fine. I'm wondering if maybe his teeth are rubbing against it while he sucks now, and that makes them sore. Anyone else experience this?

Are you ovulating or about to get AF? That happens to me. Also food residue in their mouth can irritate.

Yes this is what is happening to me. I actually have teeth marks around my nipples. It doesn't hurt that bad, but it can be uncomfortable at times.

I might possibly have AF back, not sure lol. A month ago, I had some VERY minimal spotting, that lasted about a day and a half. This week I had it again, but it lasted like 2 days. Still VERY light though. Do your nips hurt all the time since AF returned? Or only when you're ovulating or having AF? Mine have been hurting for about 2 or 3 weeks straight

I agree with others about AF but also mine started to hurt when I got pregnant with DC#2 - could that be a potential possibility?!?!?

I'm going through this exact thing now. I am ovulating, DS bit me and drew blood and the bite wound got infected. I'm still trying to nurse on that side, but it's unbearable at times. Now my other side is so tender and sore. Currently my DS is crying with DH because I can't let him comfort suck anymore right now. Does anyone know of a remedy for this? I'm taking evening primrose oil and shoudl start my calcium/magnesium supplements....but other than that, anything??? My supply is going to be affected by this and that deeply saddens me.

Same. DS has 3 bottom and 2 top, but it didn't really hurt until the tops came in. It's almost like he's scraping his teeth against my nipple. It seems to be getting better though.....
