40 + weeks over here + cramping???
I have cramp like feelings for the last few hours..just in my lower belly area (under my belly button by a few inches)?? it doesn't last very long 30 -60 seconds..it feels like a period cramp but it's happening a few times an hour
i don't feel anything in my lower back though?
i was wondering if it was gas or having to go to the bathroom?
anyone experience this?
is it contractions?
getting a little nervous and don't know what to do!

Definitely sounds like early labor. Get rest now as it could take a while. When they are real you won't sleep through them. They will have a regular pattern to them as well.
It starting for you though!

how regular is the pattern? i have a dr appt tomorrow morning-i was hoping to make it to the appt!!
they def. hurt but not totally unbearable...

Odds are you will make it to the appt. but you really never know with labor but don't lose sleep over it just yet because you will want your energy for labor.
If they get more intense take a shower or soak in the tub. If they get to be 5-7 minutes apart lasting 1 minute or more then give your doctor a call but before then I would just do my best to rest at home.

Could definitely be very early labor!
With DS I was in denial that I was having contractions. I decided I just needed to go to the bathroom  After each contraction I'd waddle to the bathroom and nothing would come out 
Sure enough the next day my water broke!!
