time share question..

did you ever go away and not do all inclusive b/c it was not included in the time share? Will this end up costing $$ in the long run?
If we do add it, it will be $50 a day, for a week x's two...what do u think?

Re: time share question..

I've never had an option to go all inclusive or not in a time share (we stayed at one that was all inclusive and we had to pay extra for the plan, it wasn't a choice).

I guess it depends on where you are going, and if you think you will get your moneys worth by doing the all inclusive.

We went to Cabo and stayed in San Jose del Cabo and the all inclusive was definitely worth it - the good restaurants were far and there wasn't a lot around the resort.

We went to Cancun and stayed in an all inclusive and it wasn't worth it for us - we went out a lot because there were close places to go.

My friend's TS at the Occidental in Aruba is like this.
When we are with them, we all get the AI. We usually eat a good breakfast, nibble on stuff for lunch, drink all day, then leave the resort for dinner.

Yes, you can add the all inclusive to your timeshare.. I think it's worth it if you plan on drinking and eating alot.. if it's a place you plan on venturing around in, then I wouldn't bother.

I agree. $50 a day for food and drink per person is actually a good price!

But if you have a time share efficiency (kitchen) then you can cook your own stuff. We did this when we went to St. Maarten so we really only ate dinner out 5x out of 7 nights. All breakfast and lunch we had food in our room.
