Spin Off to hand lotion / bath room discussion
This got me thinking.... DH & I just bought our home and we are big into entertaining. When I decorated my bathroom, I honestly put my future guests comfort into mind. 
One of the things that drives me crazy when I go to use other ppls bathrooms is when they dont have a garbage can!!!! I mean how can you NOT have one 
What are some things that bother you when they are not in a hosts bathroom?

I hate when there's no hand towel...
BUT THERE'S A CLEARLY USED BATH TOWEL THAT YOU KNOW THEY WIPED THEIR AZZ WITH AND I'M EXPECTED TO DRY MY HANDS ON.

We actually have our garbage inside the cabinet in all our bathrooms.. I wonder if a guest would realize this!

Well i know never to invite either of you over to our house
I do have a hand towel in both of our bathrooms, and if a guest happens to be staying over, they get a set of their own clean towels to use for their stay.
but for the times that a friend is over at our house and they use the bathroom, id hate to think that they'd be so rude as to use my clothing as a towel because they are so grossed out by the fact that there's a bath towel in MY bathroom instead of a fresh hand towel waiting for their dainty needs

toilet paper!! Nothing is worse than going to someones restroom and there is no toilet paper!! And soap. Thats a must.
I went to see someones new office with my DH and while it is not a home, I went to use the restroom and it had neither. I quietly ahd to make DH rush to leave because of this reason. LOL Those are two things I'd think are a given!

I mean that when a person knowingly invites people over and can't even be bothered to lay out something clean to wipe my hands with...a roll of paper towels even (bc TP just doesn't cut it) and they leave their USED bath towel for my to dry my hands on.
Don't see how that isn't gross

Am I complete psycho that I flip around people's TP rolls if they're hung under not over? lol
When I'm having company I actually leave and hand towel and paper towels, just so they have options.
I've never thought to leave a cup for them in the bathroom. And I have garbage cans in every bathroom...so I guess i'm cool there..haha

Hahhaa, so funny that you flip the TP over NOT under. DH has that rule too. Not sure if he flips other people's TP though. I never understood why this is so important to people. LOL

I never did either! Thankfully DH and I have NO preference so it stays however which way we put it on

This is mine too.
I don't care if they leave the bath towel there, as long as there is also a hand towel or paper towels.
I try & remember to put the bath towels away if people are coming over, just so they don't accidently use it because they don't see my hand towel.

Read it over. We only said that we'd want to use a hand towel, not a bath towel that's been all up in someone's business. I don't care if there's a bath towel IN the bathroom...but I sure don't want to use it to dry my hands.

Same here. I hate that.
When I have guests over I only have my decorative towels and some hand towels out. My regular bath towels that I use I take out of the bathroom. I don't want people and their filthy hands touching my towels that I wipe my a$$ with

My MIL does not have a garbage can in the bathroom, the only garbage in the house is in the kitchen. So when that time of the month has come, you have to march your trash through the kitchen - I hate it!!!

THIS IS THE BEST TOPIC EVER I'M L M F A O HERE!!!!!!!!!!I needed a laugh today so this is terriffic.
I totally agree with what everyone above said (with the exception of the cup for rinsing after brushing, I use my hand even at home. Is that gross )
I recently went down to Texas and stayed with friends, and of course aunt flo was there too....I had to use the guest bathroom and there was no garbage. So yeah, stuffing DIRTY pads/tampons into my POCKET to hide them then into the kitchen trash WRAPPED IN TP to hide it was NOT FUN!
If I see a bath towel in someones bathroom and no hand towel I refuse to use that to dry my hands; i'll use my own clothes!

Totally agree and this is what I do. I think using someone else's (obviously used) bath towel to dry my hands is gross.
I hate when they don't have liquid soap - I know, seems stupid, but I cannot stand how my hands feel after using bar soap.

Little decorative guest towels in the bathroom always cause me anxiety.
Is the larger towel their bath towel ? Are the little decorative guest towels JUST decoration or is it for people to use.
