Boy's christening outfit question

Did you get a separate, less fancy outfit for the party, so as not to ruin the official christening outfit? I'm debating whether we should or not. This is his christening outfit:

Re: Boy's christening outfit question

I bought a more casual outfit for the party, but it's more for DS to be comfortable. I'm really not worried about ruining his christening outfit.

I didn't Chat Icon The Christening itself was pretty short, under an hour in the church and the party was immediately afterwards. I definitely didn't want to take his outfit off and he looked so dapper in it. Thankfully he didn't ruin it, despite the fact that he normally spits up a lot - it was so weird, he didn't spit up at all during the day... as soon as we got home and took him out of his carseat, he spit up all over me Chat Icon

We used 2 outfits too so he would be comfortable. His godfather bought him a white velor dressy looking athletic suit from childrens place that was adorable. He wore that after the ceremony.

DS stayed in his Christening outfit the entire time. He didn't seem uncomfortable, and he looked so cute that I didn't want to change him.

I bought a really nice onesie for the party. It was at the end of June and really hot...Even if it wasn't hot, I figured the christening outfit would have been ruined by the end of the day...
