SOuthbay OB/GYN is now a OB/SPA???
DId anyone else see this in the pennysaver today? I havent been there in 6 months but I find it very strange for Southbay to have a spa incorporated in it. It says they do facials, botox, massages...etc
At first I though it was in their building as a rented out space but it says Southbay OB/GYN Spa...very strange combo if you as me.

I was shocked. I have the paper right in front of me and found it all to be very strange. It is a full page ad so I wouldnt think it is a typo...

I don't think it's that strange. My OB office provides laser hair removal. I think it's becoming a merge of businesses and is probably safer than going to just a salon.
There are tons of medi-spas cropping up on LI, too..

The last time I was there I saw pamphlets for the spa behind the counter. That office has too many patients as it is, I always have to wait an hour in the waiting room only to get called back and have to wait another half an hr in the room. They had to add more chairs in their huge waiting room just to accommodate all the patients, now with this spa it's going to take forever to get an appointment

I was there a few weeks ago and saw the sign advertising the spa services. its right next to the water cooler before the bathroom

It's BIG money! All of the offices are doing it now -- dermotologists are now huge Medical Spa facilities with facials, botox, juvederm, all sorts of laser procedures -- lipo, etc. They do hair removal, spray tan! I mean, it's no longer just skin cancer and pimples. So, of course, places like OB/GYNs are now getting in on it -- some of the treatments are anywhere from 1-2 grand a pop!! I can't blame them! You'll see - pretty soon all sorts of different offices will do stuff like this and then they will open places that do JUST that stuff and nothing else. It's kind of crazy!
