Who is your favorite designer at Bloomies?
I was SO overwhelmed yesterday.
I think I am beginning my dress search again - I'm just not 100% happy with my previous choices.
I have never shopped in Bloomies before, I had no idea where to start!
I saw some things I liked in the Aqua section and tried them on but nothing looked right.
I have a serious hourglass figure and it's becoming impossible to find a dress I love But I loved how huge the 2nd floor was and I want to go back when I have more time - but I need to know, from the experts, where I will be wasting my time and where I will have the greatest chance for success. Plus, I want to spend as close to $150 as possible.
Please help!

Are you looking for a dress for a special occassion? If so, I would try Lord and Taylor. They have the best dress section (at least the one in NYC does). I am pretty sure all of them do though.

Re: Who is your favorite designer at Bloomies?
Are you looking for something different than the purple dress and the black & cream dress you posted last week??
I love them both, but I'm sad you wont be rocking the black & cream one!
But once you find a dress you love, I have no doubt you will look and feel gorgeous!
No help with Bloomies because I get overwhelmed there too. I'm usually a L&T dress shopper.

That's my favorite but there's something about it (I think it's the back and the sleeves) that's making me not LOVE love it, KWIM?
I haven't returned it yet though
I am going to check out L&T, thanks ladies!

I have an hourglass shape as well, and I recently had a hard time finding a dress. I went to Karen Millen-- they have a few stores in the city, and one in Short Hills, NJ-- and seriously everything I put on looked good. I had a hard time deciding. I ended up buyign two dresses, one of which was 50% off and there were many others on sale as well.

Do you mind buying online? Because www.myshape.com has a ton of cute dresses, and you can search shape to find dresses (or any piece of clothing) that flatter your specific body shape. It's pretty cool. My shape website

Re: Who is your favorite designer at Bloomies?
my favorite designer at bloomingdales is tory burch.
her clothes, when on sale, are actually not too hard on the wallet and they are fashionable and also age appropriate for the late 20's - 40's
