Dresses do not look good on me! Or at least all the styles I've tried on!

Did you try anything with a little bit of a fuller skirt? Like fitted on top and cinched in at the waist and then flares out a bit? Covers the pooch and makes your waist look smaller. I can find examples if you tell me more details.

you want create a waist by choosing something that cinches below your chest around your rib cage
You want to look for A-line and empire waist because they narrow at the top and flare toward the bottom, which is why it is flattering.
oprah has apple shape - looking at the styles she chooses will help guide you in what to go for
