Plane Restrictions

Trying to just pack a carry on so there's no risk of losing or delaying the luggage when switching flights.

Are electric razors allowed in the carry on luggage?

Re: Plane Restrictions

It's not on the list of prohibited items:

http://www.tsa.gov/travelers/airtravel/prohibited/permitted-prohibited-items.shtm

I believe they are allowed, but if it goes off (like battery operated) while screening, it may cause a little alarm.

I did some google searching and every site I saw also said they are allowed. I have no personal experience with this, though, sorry. HTH

Re: Plane Restrictions

I'd be careful, as it depends what airports you are traveling through.
DH and I just came back from the Dominican republic, and I carried my blow dryer on the plane in my bag. Was fine when we left ny, but they made me check it in DR and said it was an airport policy (not a policy of the airline).

Re: Plane Restrictions

I realized this afternoon that DH always brought his electric razor in his carry on when he traveled between NC and NY when we were dating and they never gave him any problems whatsoever with it. He flew on Delta, US Airways, and American.

Glad you called and got your answer -- that was a good idea! Chat Icon
