Don't know what to think at this point. TMI

Last week, I had some light brown spotting. Right before I went to the dr, I wiped red blood. Of course, I thought the worse. When we got to the dr, she did an u/s and saw the sac and saw a flicker of a heartbeat. She said it was early. She said my cervix was closed. But she also saw I guess a pocket of blood. At that point, she said there might be more, there might not and she wasn't sure of the outcome. But she sent me for bloodwork.

So at the end of last week, I had blood taken two times. She called me with the results and said my numbers increased. She said they didn't double but she didn't expect them to at that point. She sounded pleased.

Anyway, I mentioned yesterday that I had some dull AF cramping. I'm talking really mild. Well, last night, I woke up with the strong urge to pee along with the mild cramping. I went to the bathroom and when I looked down, there was dark brown gloopy stuff in the toilet. When I wiped, it was this dark dark brown blood. I put on a pad and just am now expecting the worst.

The cramping is not there anymore. So far, there isn't a lot of the brown blood on the tp, but it's still early. My DH is optimistic that maybe it was just that pocket of blood working its way out. I, on the other hand, don't know what to think. I'm nervous.

I have an appointment on Tuesday. I hope to have a good appointment. But I was just wondering if anyone had any idea. Could this be the start of a m/c? Could it be nothing? Has this happened to you?

I really appreciate your help.

That hasn't happened to me.

But I will say for the first 7 weeks of this pregnancy I had THE WORST cramping! Now that I know there are two in there it makes more sense as to why I was feeling so much cramping, there were 2 implanting.

I sort of agree with your DH, what you experienced last night was probably just that pocket of blood working its way out.

I would try to rest as much as possible from now until Tuesday. If the cramps come back more severe and bleeding continues (red) I would be a little more concerned.

Hope everything works out! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I had some spotting, but it always went away. And in the beginning of the pregnancy I had cramping, I swore I was getting my period. My DD is healthy.

I spotted for almost 9 months straight with my DD (and she is now 21 months old)

I had a sub-chorionic hematoma, which is a blood clot in the uterus, and then previa on top of that....It sounds like you may have a SCH from what you are describing...Some peoles bodies absorb it, others bleed out which can be very scary Chat Icon

I have the same thing this time and have spotted (both red and brown) a few times already as well....Very nerve wracking....

Brown blood is good...And as scary as clots appear, they are actually a really good thing and an indicator that there is no fresh blood...

Stay optimistic, I had NO idea how common it is until I went through it myself ...If it is red, go to the OB for peace of mind- but try not to think the worst Chat Icon

Thank you so much ladies!

Bops, the sch is what I am guessing the pocket of blood is. My dr didn't use that term but after googling pictures of them, it's what we saw on the screen.

At this point, I'm terrified to go to the bathroom. The strange thing is that I am supposed to tell my mom today. I'll probably still tell her. Chat Icon

As a fellow spotter, I know how you're feeling...hang in there, go to the dr., try to remain calm (trust me, I KNOW how hard that one is!) and you will see your LO soon...take care of you and take it easy if you can and hydrate..feel better soon!
