Flu shot in the 1st tri?
What's everyone's drs saying about this? Are they recommending we get it even if it's early on in the pregnancy??

I wouldn't get it in the 1st tri... I would definitely ask your doctor about that!

its funny that you posted this because my reg OB and my RE had both said to get the shot
So i made an appt with my reg primary care dr and she said she wants me to wait until the 2nd trimester - that she doesnt give shots in the 1st trimester b/c thats when all the organs and parts are forming
So i told my RE this and she was flipping out that i should get it now before flu season starts and there is no reason to wait
So im gonna check with my reg OB again and see what she says - i guess every dr has a different opinion!

I just got mine on Sat - I was 12w
I read a lot on it and the Center for Disease Control said that you can get it at anytime
Also I told the Dr that I was pg and she didn't even ask how far along I was - I think it is fine to get it in the 1st trimester

Just updated on my PP - i called my OB office and they have the shot and will give it to me when i got next week - i'll be 9 weeks then

I got my flu shot at my first OB appointment. I was 9 weeks. And this is a high-risk OB so I trust her.
