Waking up during the night all of a sudden??

(kinda long...sorry)

Let me preface this by saying DD has always been a pretty good sleeper. She has been STTN since she was about 3.5 months old and on the rare ocassions where she gets up in the middle of the night, she usually puts herself right back to sleep. She gets her last bottle around 7:30 and is usually asleep by 8:30ish

And then Friday came...Chat Icon DD will be 1 in two weeks. On Friday night she woke up screaming at 11:30 pm. I tried to put her back down but she just screamed louder. I figured she wasn't feeling well or something was bothering her so I brought her into our room. She fell back asleep but everytime I tried to put her back in her crib, she screamed. Saturday night, same thing. Then last night, same thing.

She's been teething on and off for a while. Just cut one of her top incisors. I don't see any more coming in but she doesn't always let me get a good look. She also had a low grade fever (we gave her Motrin for that and her teething pain). What gets me is that the last 3 nights she has woken up at exactly 11:30 each time Chat Icon. The thing is, she seems to be fine once she's with us. Could this be teething pain? Is she maybe sick? I don't want to start forming bad habits but it just seemed to come out of nowhere. She has not slept in our room in 8 months. I'm just so confused (and tired Chat Icon) Chat Icon

Any advice or suggestions or similar experiences??

Yes! Sound exactly what I went thru with Mason around 10.5 - 11.5 months old

It's those top teeth!! Chat Icon
Mason was a great sleeper since 4.5 months old. Around 10.5 months he would get up 2 or 3 times a night. Then we made the mistake of starting to rock him to sleep and putting him in the crib. He'd get up and cry for us (we took turns). We'd rock more and then put him to sleep. It was so bad for about 3 weeks. Finally took him to the ped b/c I thought something was wrong... runny nose, not sleeping, wining... Chat Icon
This was always a good baby too.
She said he is fine. Not sick! Just teething bad with the top teeth and he's training us to come in. SHe said... I cry and they come running in. She also said NOT to rock him. It's almost like falling asleep in your bed and waking in the kitchen. He's thinking "What happened? Where am I"
As soon as the top teeth came in I said that's it! Went out and got a Spa Sound Machine with the projector and music per Meggo. Chat Icon
Anyway... first night CIO for about 45 mins on and off. Finally went to bed and slep till about 5:30 - 6 AM. It was a start. 2nd night CIO 20mins or so and got up a little after 6 AM. After that... much better!
Our routine was turn on music and projector. We watched it for a few and then I lay him in bed, he gets his paci and goes to sleep on his own.
Good Luck! Chat Icon

Thanks for the info Chat Icon

I told myself last night I wouldn't bring her into our room and just try to calm her down in her crib but I couldn't handle the crying Chat Icon so I caved and let her sleep in our room. I'm hoping this will pass quick.

I HATE teething Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon
