Such a fun vacation (pics!!!!!!!!!)
I know that so many LIFers are interested in Beaches Turks & Caicos & were asking me to review my trip. Well, we had a ball. Once again, my son was so good for the plane rides.
The characters were a lot of fun. The staff at Beaches was great. The Sesame Street theme is awesome. There was a chef who was a Jamaican guy who had my DS convinced all week that he is Elmo's brother. We bumped into him at several places and he always had a smile and a joke for my son. Everyone was friendly like that. There were lots of families from NY there. In fact, we brought walkie talkies there because we have used them on vacation before and it is a lot easier than using a cell phone to call someone who is on the same property. As it turned out, another family had the same idea and we picked the same channel. They were from Smithtown. All of the other channels were clear, though, so we eventually switched but we spoke for a bit.
We did not want to come home!!!! On the way back, DS had everyone in our van to the airport saying "wheeeeee" every time we sped up. I had bought a few surprises for DS in the gift shops and I gave them to him at various points during the trip home. He was so cheery. I would do that again! I gave him a Grover puppet and a Count Doll plus he had gotten big Bird and Elmo finger puppets during the week.
I have hundreds of photos but there are a few.
I know, LIF has seen my DS in this shirt so many times. It is a favorite! This is at breakfast with the characters.
At the breakfast they gave each kid a gift. DS got an Elmo finger puppet. He eventually lost it and we called the front desk to find out which gift shop could sell us another one. Well, they do not carry that puppet in the gift shops but they had another one sent to our room at no charge! So nice!!!!
The parade is so much fun. At this point, we had seen the parade as it started but then we let it pass us while we went to another point to catch up with it again. We had been waiting and waiting to see the parade again. The red thing is a guy on stilts.
DS loved joining in the parade and walking with the characters. So did I. His little legs were working so hard to keep up because he wanted to be near Cookie Monster and Ernie the whole time!
An afternoon in a cabana on the beach. This was the only time it rained but DS and I both just napped in the cabana during the rain. Security at the beach was great so it was easy to nap, plus DH was awake.
This was a cabana that we had at the Italian Village pool. DS really got the hang of the whole lounging thing. We told each other stories and it was fun!
This was on the night of the weekly beach party.
DS's favorite place to eat b/c he thought it was Flo's Cafe 
On stage for a kids' show. DS loved these little girls. They were there all week.
French village pool. We didn't spend much time there but it was very nice.
The lazy river (after they shut the current for the night). We were in there all the time, day and night!
I took this pic for my mom. I was so afraid of The Count when I was little.
This guy needs no introduction. Somehow he is Beaches newest character, having arrived only 2 weeks before we did.
I have tons more photos and haven't even uploaded the ones I got from the Beaches Snapshots staff yet.
I hope you enjoyed my review. By the way, our travel agent, Barbara from Micris travel, is simply the best!!!! She called us about a week after we booked to tell us that there was a new special and that our total would be $300 less than anticpated! Then, when the airline stopped running non-stops on the date we wanted to leave NY, she handled a change of dates for our trip so that we could fly non-stop and still stay for a week. Turks & Caicos is a very easy trip from NY if you fly non-stop. That was one reason that we picked it!
For those planning to go there, have fun and say hello to The Count.

Looks like you had a great time!!!
Friends of ours are going in May, and they were trying to get us to go with them. It sounded very tempting, but it's not in the cards for us right now.

Great trip and great pics! Thanks for the review. I really want to go there for our next vacation, but DH is set on Disney.
