Daycare Question Re: Changing Rooms OR NOT Based On Age...
MY DD will be 2 yrs old this weekend. She is currently in the 18-24 MOS old room at Daycare. I not only ADORE her current teacher and so does my DD but she is also a daughter of a colleague of mine. She is slotted to go into the 2 yr old room next Monday. She just went back to Daycare in Sept (I'm a teacher). If she's HAPPY and I'M HAPPY and the OWNER/DIRECTOR gave you a choice to leave her in the room she's in now a few extra months would you? Do you think she will be jiped out of a lot if she DOESN'T go into the two yr old room at 2yrs old?
TIA

Re: Daycare Question Re: Changing Rooms OR NOT Based On Age...
Personally, I would move my child anyway. When DS was in the younger twos room, I ADORED his teachers, as did he. It was the most perfect situation. Earlier this month he was moved into the older twos class. I never even thought of having him stay. I figured, he is an older two, why should I keep him back with kids who are younger than him, when he could be getting the benefits of a more curriculum oriented program? End result- I grew to love his new teachers, and he does too! Good luck in whatever you decide!
