I don't even know if they make what I need but I can't take it anymore. TYler bangs his head HARD on the crib at least once a day. Not the bang where he does it on purpose - he can be playing and fall into it. I look like I abuse him. Two weeks ago he split his gums open. I need to get something asap because I can't even stop worrying about the kid when I put him in his crib anymore.

What about Wonder Bumpers?

They go around each slat of the crib. Looks like a total PITA when you have to change the sheet but it may work for you.

It's actually the top part of the crib rails that he whacks his head on. ugh!

I am pretty sure that I have seen somewhere bumper type coverings for the crib rails. Maybe google it. I don't know how thick they are, but you could probably add more padding to it somehow..

I would put the bumpers you use to make a fireplace cushiony. I can't remember the name but they are cut to fit.

I think I know what you mean.

We have a non-standard oval crib, the wonderbumpers where too fat for our crib slats anyway, so I figured I could zipper up a few and make it work. It looks like psych patients room, but oh well, DS hasn't woken up with a bruise in weeks.

I was having the same problem with Shaylie. I bought this for her crib.

Yes, something similar to this but does it have cushioning? We just lowered his mattress all the way to the bottom so I'm hoping that will help it also.

Re: I need help - crib related - I need some extra protection in there

I pulled a Mommy MacGyver the other day and rolled up a bath towel, laid it against the side top rail and tied it VERY securely with ribbon. He was teething on the wood there and the gummy crib rail guards weren't cutting it. It's nice and cushioned - protects from both teething and head-banging! I can take a pic and send it to you tomorrow when he's not fast asleep. Chat Icon
