Okay, need quick advice before I write a mean email!
The maid of honor in a wedding I am in (I am the brides next best friend) asked the bridesmaids if spending $256 on paying off the brides honeymoon was okay with all of us. I said yes and that I'd call in my pmt to Liberty Travel and write it in the brides card to explain my gift. I also spent $150 on a seperate gift. I also suggested we wait until thurs or fri to pay off the honeymoon (the shower is Saturday) to give other people a chance to pay (it was on her invitation as a registry) and b/c it would be less for the briday party to split to pay it off.
I get an email today that the MOH paid it off today and now we owe her $256.
I am SO mad. Like, she basically just spent my money for me. What if would have changed my mind?

Honestly, I'm not 100% sure why you are upset.
If everyone was in agreement, maybe the MOH felt she was doing the right thing to pay it off and take care of it for everyone. Since you were OK with the $256 and were planning on it anyway, I don't see it as so bad.

I understand why you are upset but I think the MOHs heart was in the right place. I feel like she got the cc rewards by paying it off and I love to get those things so I can understand why it might upset you. On the other hand, since you had agreed to pay it, I can see the MOH POV too. Sorry.

i think if you agreed to pay the 256 then she is just taking care of it and collecting the $$.. I am sure Liberty travel appreciates 1 lump payment instead a all different people making payments on 1 trip? KWIM.. I see no big deal.. unless i am missing something ... Sorry
