Anyone been to a Sandals Resort lately?
If so which one & how would you rate it. We've been to Montego Bay a few times but not since 2002 we always had a great time but traveled with another couple. This time we're going alone and I'm wondering if we should consider a different resort company.

We went to Sandals Antigua in 08 and absolutely loved it! The most gorgeous beach I've ever seen. I've never been to Sandals Whitehouse in Jamaica, but that's on our list of "hope to get to" places. It looks amazing!

We went to the Royal Bahiamian (I think it is called that) in the Bahamas a few yrs ago. IMO I thought it was overpriced for what it was. I would not stay at a Sandals again.
Excellence Resorts are gorgeous, less money, you do not need reservations for the "fancy" restaurants like at Sandals. They do not have as many locations though, but I know they have them in Mexico. DR and are opening in Jamaica.

We have been to a few sandals... we love it there.
Bahamas- LOVE IT... so much fun we actually went there twice. The resort is beautiful, staff are all so nice.
Antigua-Gorgeous... esp the new part of the resort. Our room was beautiful and the beach is amazing... one of the best beaches.
Jamaica-Royal Carribean... we didn't like this one at all.. I would never go back there.

I actually think these all inclusives are very expensive.
There are other couples only resorts that do a great job for half the money.
I've been to sandals 5 times and won't go back because of that.

We are going to Sandals Halcyon in St. Lucia next month and I just booked the Grand Bahamian for Martin Luther King weekend. They had a great sale on and I couldn't find anything else on these Islands at the same standard for the same price.
