Feel so bad for my DH...how cute is he? (Sprinkle-related)
Let me start by saying, I have no idea where he came up with this because he's not exactly Mr. Romantic/Mr. Thoughtful.  That and he never even CAME with me to register for my first DD!
So anyway, even though I have never attended, nor been invited, nor have ever even heard of a "sprinkle" outisde of LIF, evidently he has.  He thought it would be a nice idea to surprise me with one at a restaurant since it's been five years since my first shower (and all the things have been used 2x now) and I was planning on buying a bunch of new stuff myself.
Needing a female's help--he called my cousin to help him. As he said, she basically "laced into" him saying it was a very bad idea and very greedy, tacky, etc. to expect gifts like that. He said he'd just write "No gifts" on the invitation then. Well, she thought it was just as bad and suggested he just take me out to dinner himself. (Ooookay....like we don't do that anyway.) So, feeling weird about it then, he decided to scrap the plan altogether and told me about it this morning.
I guess it's for the better because, truth be told, I think I would have felt pretty uncomfortable with the whole thing. But...I feel SO bad for him!
Sigh...God help me, I love him!

awww that was so sweet of him! not nice of your cousin to lace into him like that though- when guys try and do something nice they need to be encouraged lol
