YAY or NAY for my living room?

I plan on redoing my LR this winter, the couches are red, and Im keeping the current color scheme the same, just updating rug, paint color and curtains.

The LR is and will still be in all fall colors, red, golds, oranges and browns.

WDYT? I came across it on etsy and keep going back to it.

the vendor has some GORGEOUS photography.

I like it for the fall and winter, but not for year round. In the spring and summer would want something more lush or lively (for lack of a better word). But I get bored of stuff quick.

ETA: I do really like their photos, the bird collection is so cute!

Yay! Especially if you put it in a rich, dark wood frame.

If it goes with the color tones in the room, go for it!

Re: YAY or NAY for my living room?

i like it a lot...but it looks very "fall/autumn" if you will like that look all year long than i say go for it...

i tend to lean toward lots of browns, tans, greens, dark woods, warm colors, leafy patterns, earthy stuff and i have a hard time decorating the house because of it - even though i love those colors i don't want my house to feel like autumn all year long (or any season - i want it to be season neutral Chat Icon)...i am always trying to remember not to go overboard with it...it's especially hard though when the fall catalogs start coming out Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon i have the same problem with "Florida" decor meaning i love tropical decor and that vacation/island feel but at the same time i don't want to go overboard with that either.

the photo is very pretty!

i really like it, and have similar fall colors in our LR and throughout a lot of the house

Only thing is that its so small.. at 8" x 8" i feel like it would get lost on a wall. It didn't look like they had any other sizes of prints you could order though

Nay

It's a beautiful picture but it's not relaxing soft or inviting to look at. I think it's a little depressing. By itself it is an awesome picture to appreciate the colors and the angle but I don't think it could be the focal point in a room. I would display it if it was a smaller sized print in a frame on a shelf.

Personally I wouldnt hang it in my living room. I am also not a fan of the red/orange color family, I dont find it relaxing.

I think it's a pretty picture, but I feel like it would be too much red in the room.

I agree, you already have a red couch... i'd do subtle hints of red around the room instead. Maybe a picture with just a hint of red in it. Then again, i'm not the biggest fan of red.

I'm sorry, but I'm a nay. I think it looks really dated - almost like those felt picutres you saw in the 70s.
