What to wear to the wedding ceremony?
We have a wedding to go to this weekend out east. The church ceremony is at 3pm. And the reception is at East Wind at 7pm. We are staying overnight at East Wind, so I figured we'd go to the ceremony and then hang in the room until the reception.
I bought a new dress for the wedding....but now I'm wondering if I should wear it to the church and the reception....or should I wear something less formal (more comfortable) to the church, and then change back in the hotel room and wear the dress to the reception?
Thoughts?

Hmm.. I would probably change into the more "formal" attire for the reception, especially with the big 4 hour gap in between. It's a good idea you have a hotel to relax at and unwind.

That's why I'm thinking 2 dresses.....that's a loooooong time in between. I'm planning on napping during that time

I think you can do either. We had a gap like that and some people changed, some didn’t. I have been to a ton of weddings like that and typically we go back and pre-party in between so I personally would want to be ready for the whole night.

In the past if I was able to go home I have worn black pants, a nice top or sweater set and heals...basically work clothes.
