Hotels in Nassau with meeting/conference facilities?
I'm planning an all day event for approx 100 people, we need a classroom style setup. Coffee, bagels & a decent lunch.
I know I'm forgetting about places. I already looked in Marriot & LaQuinta
Ideally it will be centrally located.

I think your best bet might be the Marriott in Uniondale. Instead of classroom seating, you can do crescent rounds in one of the larger ballrooms.

I think the Hilton Garden Inn in Westbury has at least one conference room.

What about the Hyatt Place in Garden City - it is a brand new hotel - and I think they are business oriented - and have a meeting place for businesses etc. It is near Roosevelt Field - back behind Buy Buy baby off the meadowbrook pky.

Marriott Uniondale, Huntington Hilton, Garden City Hotel (yes they do meetings/events) and do a really nice job.
Hyatts in general do a good job, but I am not sure what space the ones on LI have.

If you contact the Meetings Department at the Long Island Convention & Visitors Bureau and Sports Commission they can help you find a site that fits your needs and budget. They don't charge you a fee to conduct the RFP for you.
I used to work there with Kotka (Jola).

Re: Hotels in Nassau with meeting/conference facilities?
I really like the Marriot in Melville. Just off the LIE on the service road. Very convenient. Love the Lobby. Can accomodate larger grougs.
I have gone to seminars/small trainings in the Four Points by Sheraton in Plainview. On the South Service Rd.
I also like the Residence Inn by Marriot in Plainview also for training and seminars. Off old country Rd by 135
All 3 above where for 100+ people.
There is also the Hilton in Melville/Farmingdale on 110.
I have used The Garden Hilton in Westbury before but not for seminars so I am not sure about business side.
