Wish us luck-DD's birthday party is tomorrow.
And I'm almost ready
For some reason I just feel nervous-it is so stupid!
I just want people to enjoy themselves and for Claire to have a good time.
The weather is not looking good so it will probably just be inside.
That means 30-40 people in my house. I say 30-40 because a bunch of people didn't RSVP
I have some games planned for the kids and I hope they enjoy them:
Lucky banana-like hot potato but no one is "out", everyone gets a prize
Pin the banana on the Monkey
Monkey hunt-hiding little monkeys all over the first floor, kids can look for them as an activity while every one arrives.
Pinata-this will be the grand finale, kids can put the candy in their goodie bags.
I hope the house is not so crowded that people are uncomfortable , but I am excited so many people can come.
Can I have some good party vibes?

Forgot to mention-I live in NC, it will be 90+ and rain and thunderstorms all day with a lot of humidity to boot, no good here

You are going to throw an awesome party!
Word of advice: Give someone else your camera because you'll be so busy hosting, it's the one thing everyone forgets.

Mud wrestling? Hmmm-it is a monkey theme, maybe I could add a feces flinging game and the mud could be the poo Kids would love, parents would never let us have another playdate again.

I'm not worried about RSVP for the adults, just the kiddie-sorry Leo won't be coming though, we'll meet him another time!
I have at least 2 other moms with newborns coming-I think they may be breastfeeding too. You just go for it! Don't worry about those of us with hang ups!
You're not a smoker-you don't need to go outside. From what I've read-and granted, it's not a lot-breast feeding can actually be good for kids, unlike smoking

Wishing you beautiful weather!! Remember to eat and drink for the party because you will be so busy running around during it. At my party it helped presetting the coffee and tea urns, had my two batteries charged for the video cameras, had my digital camera handy using my wrist wallet.
