Need salon suggestions for Manhattan

I used to get my hair colored at a salon, but the price was too high and so for the past half year I have been doing it at home. However, the color comes out very nicely but not 100% what I want and what I know a good salon can do. I would like some salon suggestions for Manhattan (so I can go after work), in the midtown area would be best but I am open to other locations.

TIA!

David Ryan Salon
46th street between 9th and 10th

I went there for about 10 years until my stylist moved. I believe Maria is the owner (but i haven't gone there in about 2 years so not sure if she's still there). The few times i went and my stylist wasn't available, i always had a good cut with anyone else.
They have fabulous colorists!

I live on the UWS - so I go to salons up here (70's and 80's).

I have two GREAT recs for ya.

TwoDo Salon
I used to go here until my stylist left. They have award winning colorists. Try Megan (the owner). She's great.

The other is:
K's Salon
It's a tiny boutique salon. You feel like you're in Paris when you're there!

Both are 'reasonable' for NYC standards, I think....

Good luck!

Yolanda at Louis Licari. It's not as expensive as you'd think - I pay just a teeny bit less on LI now. I loved her but once I moved out of the city and then ultimately stopped working there, it was silly just to go in for my hair.
