If your child would only sleep in the bouncer/swing...
My dd will not sleep in her crib, bassinet, or the pNp. The only place she will sleep is the bouncy chair or swing. So at night she sleeps for 4-5 hours in the bouncy chair next to my bed, and naps in the swing during the day. Before this we were getting no sleep at all. For those of you who had the same problem, how did you transition? I really would like to be able to get her to sleep in the pNp or bassinet in our room for a little bit longer, and then transition to the crib. She has reflux so I think that has something to do with it, her not wanting to lay flat even on a wedge. I am just worried we are stalling her development (rolling over) by letting her sleep in the bouncer. TIA!

Re: If your child would only sleep in the bouncer/swing...
DS's ped told me that I should let him sleep wherever he would. That meant that he slept in his swing or in his inclined rocker EXCLUSIVELY until he was 3+ months old. He's 4.5 months now and a few weeks ago I just said, we're going to try the crib and that's that. So we started a nightly routine and put him in his crib after his bottle. At first sometimes he would stay asleep and lots of times he wouldn't and so we would put him in the swing. He slowly started staying in the crib more and more.
Another thing I just found out about from someone that posted is the acid reflux pillow/wedge that has a harness so that the baby doesn't slide down. I WISH I knew about this months ago!!! The website is www.arpillow.com and it says that many insurance companies will pay for it, so it's worth a look.

DS slept in the swing until he was 3 months and then we transitioned him to his crib. We put some towels underneath the mattress so its on an incline. DS use to sleep 4-5 hours straight in his swing. Now he gets up more often, but I want him to get used to it and I am not putting him back in that swing!

Re: If your child would only sleep in the bouncer/swing...
First, nicole- she's so cute! Love the new avatar.
DD would only sleep in her carseat for the first 2 1/2 months. I started rocking her to sleep for naps and then placing her in the crib/PnP. And if she fell asleep in the carseat, I'd move her into the crib. Slowly, she started napping and then STTN in the crib! We also added an extra oz or 2 to each feeding and that's helped her STTN. It's def frustrating, but you really have to keep at it. DD is going to be 4 months next week and most of the time, we can put her awake but sleepy into her crib and she'll fall asleep on her own.

Re: If your child would only sleep in the bouncer/swing...
Thank you ladies. I appreciate all your responses. I am defin going to roll my sleeves up, and put the time and effort in to get her into her crib, or at least the pNp for now. I don't think I am going to push it just yet though. We have yet another doctor appt for her reflux today. Once we get a handle on it, then I will start the transition. Poor thing has been having spit up shoot out her nose the last few days.

Re: If your child would only sleep in the bouncer/swing...
We had DS sleeping in the swing for a while when he just would not go to sleep in his bassinet. After a few weeks of the swing, MIL told me her chiropractor said it wasn't a good idea and it could mess up DS back (I don't know about that, but at the time it worried me so we decided to try him back in his bassinet.)
We started swaddling him (I think I began reading The Happiest Baby on the Block and it seemed like a good idea.)
Once we started swaddling, he would usually fall asleep either in our arms and we'd trasfer him to the bassinet or we'd just put him down awake and he'd go to sleep on his own. He was around 8-9 weeks and began sleeping for about 6-7 hours at a time.
