For those that dealt with chronic pain during pregnancy...
I had a follow-up appointment after my stay in Winthrop last night. My round ligament pains may never go away.
The good news: Baby M is perfectly healthy, and isn't affected by any of this. Round ligament pains are normal. I bought a support belt which is kind of helping.
The bad news: My body has an atypical reaction to everything stretching out. Random, sharp aches that last for 1 minute to 15 minutes each may be part of my life for the next 20 weeks... and may get worse the bigger I get. I'm not a pill-taker anyway, but my body laughs at Tylenol. If I stay in one place for any extended period of time (like when I'm sleeping) I get hammered with pain.
For those that dealt with chronic pain during pregnancy... how'd you do it?

I had extreme sciatica. extreme. like going down the stairs on my butt because my legs wouldnt hold me up. you somehow just deal. i had to stop work 1 week earlier than i would have liked and i commute 1 hr each way. it threw my spine so out of whack that they thought i had scoliosis! i saw a chiro after pregnancy and it helped tremendously. maybe you could try that? some people do it during pregnancy. tylenol extra strength helped a little. sorry i know it stinks!

Re: For those that dealt with chronic pain during pregnancy...
I have been dealing with extreme chronic pain throughout this entire pregnancy. Tylenol is a joke, I might as well drink water for all it helps. My pregnancy with my son was a piece of cake. This has been a whole different story.
I am just trying to make it, day by day. I am 31 weeks pregnant and really, I am just counting down to delivery. I try not to complain and I am trying to be good about asking for help instead of always doing it on my own.
For the sleep issue, my doctor recommended Tylenol PM or Benadryl before bed. Benadryl makes people sleepy so you will sleep, even with the pain. I haven't done it so I can't vouch for it. I am not a pill taker, if I can avoid it.
I have friends who also recommended pregnancy yoga. At this point, not much helps.
Good luck and just hang in there!!
