Re: Xpost - How did your workout routine change as your pregnancy progressed?

I worked out at the gym at least 5 days a week until 38 weeks. The reason I stopped was not because I was uncomfortable - in fact, like you, I felt great the whole time. It was that I mostly went by myself and I couldn't handle everyone staring at me. I was HUGE and I think everyone was afraid I would lose it all over a treadmill. People kept coming up to me being like "is your husband here?" Chat Icon Also DH wasn't wild about me driving by myself at night in January after work to get there. If I had kept it up I would have been fine. And it made my recovery SO much easier.

ETA: I took classes during my first tri but had to stop the jumping/kickboxing motions by the second tri, so I stuck to elliptical, bike and treadmill, at least 30-40 minutes per session.

regression..LOL. it stopped. I used to do pilates weekly and my dr. told me to stop it once I got pregnant.

i tried to do mild stretching here and there and walking at nite, but then it got too hot and i got too big..LOL.

I actually regret not working out b/c I was so tired by the end and its taken me a while to get back to my old self.

Re: Xpost - How did your workout routine change as your pregnancy progressed?

I did yoga and aerobics, I stopped the aerobics cold turkey around 12weeks prego, because I suddenly got very bad groin and hip pain (Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction)

I continued with the yoga, but just didn't do it as often and didn't do any crazy moves. My physical therapist also gave me some very simple exercises to do for the SPD.

Honestly, I think I would have exercised less if I didn't get SPD, it kind of kicked my butt into gear, because I had to exercise to feel better. I still gained 40lbs in the end Chat Icon

I used to take cardio kickboxing every Sat morning and would run or do the elliptical 4 times a week

Stopped kickboxing at about 10 weeks b/c I bled after a workout and it scared me. Kept with the elliptical and treadmill till about 39 weeks. Of course it slowed down. Went from jogging to fast walking to a leisure walk Chat Icon

Plus, I had to stop too many times to pee
