If you own Timeshare - help please!!!

We bought timeshare a few years back and we recently went back for the 1st time. We did the timeshare presentation and they tried to sell us on upgrades, bonus weeks, etc. I declined the upgrade because we cannot afford it right now as we are saving up for a house.

Anyway, has anyone ever DECLINED one of these upgrades and did you regret it and/or feel that you are treated worse because you didn't upgrade? Do they mark my file and I won't get the best treatment? Thoughts?

Everytime we go to one of our resorts we will sit through the presentation if they are offering good stuff! lol

We don't regret not upgrading because they always offer us the same deal the next time at the next resort.

We own with wyndham and bought resale. So they are always telling us we can't do as much with our timeshare because we aren't VIP based on how many points we have.

BS we have done so much and paid so little for our time share!

I have been to our timeshare 6 times in the past three years and have declined the presentation each time. I don't "think" we're treated any differently and I still get all of my owner perks.

we go to a presentation just about every time we go b/c they give away good stuff

Plus, we know what we're doing for breakfast that morning since coffee, bagels and danishes are being served. LOL

Usually there's a $100 GC for a restaurant in the area we use during the week

BTW... declined every time and never made a difference.
