Re: Where did you eat near Dutch Wonderland?

The breakfast buffet at Willow Valley was incredible. A LOT of food... huge selection and really reasonably priced for what you got. Omelette station, French toast, waffles, scrapple, bacon, sausage, home fries, gravy, yogurt, fresh fruit, breads, pastries.. it was a LOT.

We made sure to stop at Good n' Plenty family style restaurant and thought it was a good choice. The name is apt! We left stuffed after dinner consisting of Fried chicken, Sausage, Roast beef, Noodles, Mashed Potatoes, Carrots, Bread, Cheesecake, Shoofly pie, Jello.. tons of food.

Our hotel included breakfast, however, on the same road as DW we saw a Cracker Barrel, Texas Roadhouse, Applebee's and I think Fuddruckers.
We tried those restaurants on a Friday night and they were PACKED..long waits, we ended up at SonicChat Icon

My father was like "What do you mean you didn't go to Good N Plenty"? LOL
Thats on our list to try next time.Chat Icon

Miller's Smorgasbord
Perkins
Cracker Barrel
Texas Roadhouse

These are all places we have had and love. Of them the only one I listed that is traditional PA Dutch is Miller's.

I can't help with breakfast, but for dinner we went to Millers Smorgasboard, Good & Plenty, and the restaurant at the Steamboat Inn. From my perspective, you can go to those chain places anytime, but you won't be in PA Dutch Country anytime. Chat Icon

Enjoy your trip!
