Need help with Evite and friend situation
DH and I decided to have a Cinco de Mayo party next week (actually it will be a Seis de Mayo party since we didn't want to have everyone rush over on a Friday after work). We sent the invitation through evite.
In case anyone hasn't used evite to send invitations, evite lets the host see when each of the guests have viewed the invitation. It says "last viewed April XX"
Well, I sent out the evite last week and a friend of mine (actually one of BM's) has viewed it at least five days (I am obsessed and I check it all the time and I keep seeing the date change next to her name)
She has not responded yet. Is it just me or does it sound like she is checking to see who else has RSVP's before she decides whether or not to come?
Am I being paranoid?
I am upset about this.

Honestly- I think you are just being paranoid- I have sent out a ton of evites and some people just do not RSVP right away-- because I am neurotic, I would probably think a little like you-- but, I really think it's nothing.

I don't think you should let it worry you. I'm so bad about responding sometimes. I'll just keep looing at an evite to see "when is it again" or the other info on the evite. I know I do like to see other people's responses - not to see who's coming to make my decision, just to look - sometimes I think people respond with cute stuff.
To my point, try not to let it upset you - she's probably just lazy about it like me (I know, how difficult is it to click yes or no, but homestly sometimes I want to try and think of a cute response.  )

Often times, I read it when I first get it but don't respond cause I want to check my calendar and check with DH.
Then I usually forget
until I get that second email from evite that says in a nice way...hey dumba$$ you forgot to RSVP.
Perhaps its the same with her?

Maybe I am just PMS'ing and waiting for RSVP's is like wedding planning all over again but now I can see how many times people think about it.
I don't want to be obsessed and paranoid. I guess I wish she would check off the "maybe" box and change it later. Just don't look and look.

But wouldn't you still respond "maybe" and then just change it later? Give a lame excuse and let me at least know that you want to be there but are unsure.

It must be PMS that is making me feel so weird.
I also sent a follow-up e-mail to all of the non-respondents to let them know that we can't wait to see them! And also to explain how evite works to some of them who never opened the invite (someone actually responded that he didn't know the details, it was because he never actually clicked "view invitation")

Believe me...I completely understand how you feel. I have similar reactions to things when I'm PMSing. It's really frustrating. I am glad she responded yes!
