Contractions?
I am just trying to figure out some sort of time line if that is at all possible. I was having contractions thursday but couldn't feel them at all (it was during my non stress test and the nurse saw them on the monitor) Yesterday i was having mild cramping - AF like cramps but nothing that really bothered me Today I am having stronger AF like cramps most of the day with an occasional contraction that are somewhat painful but nothing totally unbearable. How much longer until they start coming more regular and stronger where I might have to go to the hospital?

Re: Contractions?
I was having on and off contractions, exactly as you describe for over 4 weeks. I was induced almost a week after my due date because baby was getting too big. It never got the point where I was ready to call the hospital. And I didn't feel any of the painful contractions till 10 hours after I got meds for induction.

Re: Contractions?
I had the bearable ones Sunday night into Monday and all day Monday. Very irregular and very bearable.
By Monday night into tuesday they were more intense and closer together and more regular.
I called the Dr Tues morning and they said to head the hospital to be checked. I was 5 cm when I got there and had my baby at 4 pm that day.
So it can happen fast!! Calll the Dr when they are 5 min apart, lasting 1 minute or more each and this goes on for an hour.
Good luck!

Re: Contractions?
Could be a few hours, days or weeks. Unfortunately there is no magical formula. Most OBs want you to call/head to the hospital when they are aprox 5 min apart for an hour.
