Coney Island
Anyone have any advice for a day trip to Coney Island. DH and I are going next week and neither of us have been there in years. I know there are websites, but I was just wondering if anyone has been there recently! TIA!

They recently reopend CI under the name Luna Park http://www.lunaparknyc.com/
Have not been there yet--lasttime I was there was right before they closed a cple yrs ago.
Also the aquarium there is great

You could walk the board walk, and walk on the beach. You could also go into the amusement parks their and go on the rides and play games.
I also like just sitting on the boardwalk at a table and having a few drinks and watching the people. They also have a cool place called Beer Island where you could sit and have a few drinks. It is in the back of the board walk.

We always go and we have so much fun.
If you want to go to the aquarium you could leave your car there and explore the beach/amusement parks
For eating:
Nathans
Totonnos Pizza
or if you want fancy italian - Garguilos
A water slide park is opening 4th of july weekend
You can check to see if there ia a Brooklyn Cyclone Game
