I bought a pair of gel inserts made for open toe shoes (they are just the front half of the foot) for about $4 at a discount store and they are amazing. I like them better than the Dr Schoells and they made a huge difference.
(I had a pair of tall heels that were comfy but gave me blisters on the pads of my feet because there was not enough cushion, and now I can wear them out all night for hours without a blister)
don't remember the brand (it was an off-brand) but if you FM me I'll tell you where I got it
