I do it when the vacation is not booked yet... I study everything constantly before I book and before we go

I become completely obsessed, and my DH can't stand it! I used to tell him every detail I found out, but he said would rather be surprised and see everything for the first time when we get there. So now I'm a closet vacation stalker,  I just rather be prepared and know exactly what to expect (the good and the bad), especially when spending so much on a trip. I figure that the more research I do, the more we'll get out of our vacation.

Yes!!!! I booked a cruise in April and it's in July. I don't know what I would do if I had to wait a whole year for a trip. I would imagine I would obsess so much that it would feel like I already went on the trip! This sounds like a guy/girl thing because my husband can barely tell me where he wants to go let alone the details. I would get upset and think he just didn't care but he recently said, "Any trip that you have planned has been great. So I know I'll have a blast and I don't need to focus on it."  Now, that could have just been a way to shut me up but I'll take it!

Absolutely! We just booked Jamaica in September and I have been non-stop on TriPAdvisor and message boards about it. I am a planner by nature, so I need to know every little detail and what to expect. I look for new pictures everyday. It's sickening!

Did the same thing before our cruise last year.
I read the blog of Carnival's senior cruise director religiously.
I make Excel spreadsheets in order to plan our vacations!
I LOVE to research and plan our trips!
