Teething Remedy Please

My DD is cutting all 4 of her top teeth and is waking up at night in pain.

Besides motrin/tylenol, what are other remedies that work?

Whiskey???

I also use teething tablets and teething gel by Hyland for instant relief, but for really bad teething (like when DS had 5 at once, Motrin worked best. I got the Hylands @ BRU.

both my parents and dave's SWEAR by whiskey - but we never did it (em cut the same ones at the same time)..

frozen bagel is a tip i was given recently....

motrin - i prefer that for teething (though it's harder on the tummy than tylenol)...because motrin (or generic) is stronger, it's an 8 hour med...so you're not 'double drugging' the baby - every 4 hours...like you do with tylenol.

just keep telling yourself that they will NOT remember this time in their lives...it's horribly painful - but that's why it happens now, when they don't feel pain like adults and cannot possibly remember it.

i have the hylands teething gel and tablets, and a shot bottle of whiskey.

last nite DS started cutting a 2nd bottom tooth and woke up at 11pm screaming. It took us 15 min to get him calm..gave him a dose of motrin and rubbed his gums with the teething gel. he was back to sleep in 5 min and stayed asleep until almost 7 this morning!

I've rubbed the whiskey on ds's gums too and that helps. just dab a little on your finger and rub.

DD is cutting her second top tooth and its been a nightmare! She wakes up at least once a night...screaming...like the most painful scream i've ever heard before. So i have been giving her motrin before bed and I have been rubbing her gums with my fingers. I heard rubbing whiskey is really good for teething but i haven't tried it yet.
