Portable washer--Craig's List or Garage Sale?
My grandmother moved into assisted living and her hardly used, 2 year old portable washing machine is still at her house--house is on the market. We're having a garage sale in a couple of weeks and were originally going to sell it at the garage sale, but now that I think about it, it might be a better Craig's List item. I would love to NOT have to schlep into queens and load the thing up and bring it back to my house anyway.
It's a whirlpool and she paid something like $550 for it. Craig's List or garage sale?

what is a portable washing machine? Is it for an apartment or just a mini washing machine?
Sorry if that's a dumb question, we are in an apartment and were looking for one of those stackable things or anything that would work really.

craigs list it. we recently bought a portable dishwasher off of there and got into a bidding war with someone else over it! i was desperate to have a dishwasher so we kept bidding! 
seriously, try craigs list first, and if you can't get a bite off of there, then try the garage sale.

It's a washing machine...for laundry. I was wrong about it being a Whirlpool. It's a Kenmore, similar to this one:
Sears link to washing machine
It has a hose and connector that hooks up to a faucet. The waste water hose goes in the sink. It has wheels and is really easy to move around.
I'm definitely leaning more towards craigs listing it.

definitely craigs list because at a garage sale a lot of people bargain shop, so you may get rid of it but might not get much money.

criagslist and put a sign on it with a price so when people come to look at the house they know its for sale. if they are looking for places similar to her's it might be something they need even if they don't buy her place.
