He just started hour 3 of a nap! *Added quesion in OP*
It has to be this heat that's making him so sleepy, right?
He woke at 6:30, had a bottle, DH brought him into bed with us, he fell asleep until about 9, ate breakfast, played and conked out again at 10 in his crib and he's still fast asleep at this very moment.
No fever, happy as can be! Hell, I wish *I* could take a 3 hour nap mid-day!
His food schedule is going to be totally off today, but that's ok, we'll just roll with it!
I am assuming I should just let him sleep, right? He usually has lunch at noon and then a bottle at 2:30 and then a nap for an hour or so....
*** So when he DOES wake up, what should I do about his food? Skip his solid lunch, since he slept through that and just give him his afternoon bottle a little earlier?

Def. let him sleep - sometimes they just need a lazy day. Ryan had a 3.5 hr nap yesterday - 1:30PM-5PM

DD has been the same way lately. Took a 3 hour nap on saturday, and slept for 5 hours on friday. But she had her shots so I think it knocked her out.
My older DD however, won't sleep at al in this heat. l

Re: He just started hour 3 of a nap!
my DS is 28 months and the other day took a 3 hour nap
very unlike him
he was lazy all day but his personality was fine and no fever
maybe its the heat.

Makes prefect sense! He'll be 9 months on Thursday and they hit a growth spurt around this time, if I recall correctly...

Ya gotta wing it. See what he takes. He may not have a full lunch, just a snack. And dinner maybe a little later than usual. But he'll get back on track by tomorrow.

I don't know, I personally wake my DS up if he sleeps over an hour and a half or two hours if I think he really needs it. If I don't, I find his entire schedule is thrown out of whack.
