jewelry redesign
I have a piece of jewelry with sentimental association that I would like to have remade into a piece I would wear - most likely a pendant.
It has 7 small round diamonds all the same size (set in white gold) that I would like to incorporate into the new piece and would consider adding to it but I dont want anything overly gaudy. Any ideas? I've been looking at jewelry websites but nothing really stuck out
Also, if you've had something like this done before is it insanely expensive? I realize I will have to pay for labor and it might end up costing more than buying a similar piece already made... but the alternative is to just hold onto it (knowing I'd never wear it). I don't want to sell it. thanks

Re: jewelry redesign
When my parents got divorced my mom gave me her engagement ring to make it into something else when I turned 21. I brought it to a jeweler and turned into a pendent. It came out really pretty. I always received a lot of compliments when I wore it. It is a pear shape diamond with 4 tiny chips.

Re: jewelry redesign
ooo sounds pretty. if it were me, i'd incorporate it into something i already own.
i have a diamond solitaire - i'd have those 7 diamonds made into a diamonds-by-the-yard type necklace and permanently string the solitaire on there.

eta: you can sell the gold they're in - that'll offset the cost!
