October mommies check in!

How's my October mommas doing????
I have my level 2 on Friday and I am SO excited! I've also grown accustomed to the fact I'm having another little boy. Chat Icon I hope they'll be best friends! I'm getting impatient because I have only felt sporadic movement at this point. With DS#1 I felt him constantly, but I guess every baby is different. I will be 20 weeks tomorrow! I'm half way there!!! I've also seen a midwife adn as of right now, I will be trying for a vbac...(if I don't chicken out last minute lol)
Chat Icon What's going on with everyone?

Re: October mommies check in!

Hi there!

I am 18.5 weeks now and have been feeling great. I do run out of breath quite easily though...I have to walk with my 3 year old to pick up my older DD from Pre-K and I've been leaving earlier and earlier because I'm totally winded when I get there! Otherwise, nothing to report, thank goodness.

I have been feeling movement (maybe starting around 15 weeks) and it's been getting a bit more pronounced, so that makes me reassured. Still pretty sporadic however, although I find when it's not your first baby, you really don't have all that much time to focus on yourself and your feelings...so maybe I'm just not paying attention! Chat Icon

Have my Level II on the 14th. We are remaining Team Chat Icon though, as we did with the girls.

Has anyone discussed or even finalized names? We are really nowhere with that!!!

Hi Ladies!

I am due on October 26th. I am 19 weeks and this is our first. I finally feel good (felt nauseous up until 15 weeks or so). The heat/commuting to NYC/subway has been killing me. I get so out of breath and just feel weak. I am really trying to up my water intake, as well.

I think that I have been feeling "fluttering". It almost feels like little muscle spasms in my lower stomach and I am happy to know it is the babyChat Icon

We have discussed names and are further along with girls names than boys!

My level II is on Wednesday and we plan on registering after the appointmentChat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: October mommies check in!

hi girls! I'm 22w1d having a Chat Icon . things are going good, except I am having HORRIBLE ankle and foot swelling! it's really bad. Also getting winded as well, but my blood pressure is good, so i guess all of this stuff is annoying pregnancy stuff! Feeling the baby move around alot! I was just at my brothers wedding this weekend, i was actually in the wedding party, and people took lots of shots of my belly, so I'm thinking Olivia is going to need to start her own facebook page via the womb:O)

Re: October mommies check in!

Hi Girls, So glad to hear everyone is doing well!

I am in my 19th week due October 29th. Overall I have been feeling great. I am getting pretty use to having a belly now. I don’t think I have felt the baby move yet though? I have no idea what its suppose to feel like since this is my first but I don’t think its moved yet (sad). I did get swollen feet over the holiday weekend when I was outside for long periods of time in the heat. I think I have gained 9-10 pounds so far. Hopefully I am on track! I have been eating like mad.

I have my level two on June 11th and hopefully we will find out the gender that day! We plan to bring a little card and envelope with us to the sono and have the tech write the sex on the card. Then we plan to go to a special spot (a lake or something) to open it and find out the sex. I am so excited. I plan to start my registry on June 13th! We have picked out boy and girl names that we agree one (shocker).

Does everyone have a midwife? I don’t really understand who they are and what they do? Is there a cost associate with them?

Re: October mommies check in!

Hello!

I'm 22w5d due October 1st. I'm feeling really good so far. Just started to feel the baby move last week, and just feeling random movements as well. Am going for a follow up Level 2 tomorrow because they couldn't get a good picture of the baby's heart, and we are staying Chat Icon which is very hard!

I also think that for right now we are pretty much done registering. Until we get furniture, and I know how big the mattress is, then I can register for crib sheets.

Re: October mommies check in!

Hello girlies...

I'm 20 weeks tomorrow, due 10.21 Chat Icon Wanted to remain team Chat Icon but DH is impatient. He was texting and posting the results on FB during the u/s

Feeling more and more movement as the days pass. M/s seems to finally be relenting a bit YAY! Heat sucks. I don't envy a commute to the city like a PP mentioned..............

TMI: I sit at work when getting up, it feels like someone kicked me in the nether regions. Repeatedly.

Names? We have a few leftover from DD1 but other than that we haven't discussed it really.

Rafaela, I'm totally envious of you going for a VBAC. As of right now, it's a no go for me due to low lying placenta. So, I will live vicariously through you... no reason to chicken out, I bet you'll do fine Chat Icon

Feeling good, although this heat is killing me. I'm due 10.26 and have the level II scheduled for tomorrow. We are staying team Chat Icon also. We didn't find out when I was preggo with DS but i'm finding that it's harder this time around.

Re: October mommies check in!

Hi Everyone!

I'll be 20w on Friday, and my level 2 is 6/8. I will be finding out the sex, and I hope to prove my MIL and some family members wrong : ) I am still on Zofran for my nausea, which is a little better this week. The heat is making me tired like I was in the first trimester, but I take my naps! I started feeling the baby move in my 18th week, and he/she keeps rolling, kicking my nether regions, pressing my bladder...the works. It's weird and fun at the same time! I just *really* started showing this past weekend. Last time I went to the OB, I lost a pound in my first tri, so I hope to get better news at my next visit.

Take care!!

Re: October mommies check in!

22 weeks and have been on modified bedrest since 18 weeks. I'm having a really hard time with my pubic bone/pelvis/back. I cry every day from the pain & am so disappointed that I am not enjoying this time in my life. The only time I leave the house is when DH takes me to the chiropractor & physical therapy. Had my level 2 & we're having a Chat Icon I can't imagine how I'm going to make it 4 more months like this Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon But most importantly, the baby is fine & healthy.

Hi Everyone

I'm 19 weeks (20 on Sunday) and the baby is doing well. I can't believe we only have 4 months left it's getting so close.
I had my first scare yesterday, when i had excruciating pain on my lower abdominal right on my right pubic bone. Had a sono everything is fine with baby, but the pain keeps coming back.

Re: October mommies check in!

28 weeks now & feeling pretty darn great! I don't have any pain anymore! I finished physical therapy & don't have to go back unless I'm in pain. No heartburn yet & I passed my Glucose Test!!! All in all, things are great, except for the heat. I'm hoping to feel this good for the rest of the pregnancy. How's everyone doing?

Re: October mommies check in!

Hello back to all the October Mommies! I was 27 weeks yesterday. I am feeling pretty good -- glad that the heatwave broke a little. I took the glucose test and passed. Hope that it went well for you, Dslaff!

I am still sleeping on my stomach and dreading the day that I can't. I think we are ordering our baby furniture within the next week or so, but I feel very behind in the preparations. How far is along is everyone else in preparing the nursery?
