Fever question- should motrin have brought it down more?
DS is almost 3. He typically runs high fevers when he gets a virus. His fever is hanging out in the high 102s. (Not high for him, but we are still concerned.) Tylenol hasn't brought it down. And I gave him Motrin over an hour ago and he is still hovering at 102.
Shouldn't it have gone down more now? I am real scared that he is going to shoot up again if he is 102 WITH motrin. Background: He was 101 all day yesterday.
TIA for sharing any experience.

I agree with you, I think the Motrin should have brought it down more- at least into the 101s. Are you giving Tylenol/Motrin every 3 hours? My DD#1 runs high fevers too and I do this with her. Hope DS feels better soon!

Thanks! He just stripped off his clothes, turned on the fan and fell asleep in our bed.
I was doing Tylenol yesterday. Today I have been alternating Tylenol with Motrin. He has no other symptoms. Something just isn't right.
