accomodations for Hershey Park

Can anyone recommend some good places to stay at while in Hershey, Pa. We are hoping to go for 2 nights midweek in the summer. We've never been there before so I really don't know where to begin.

It will be 2 adults, 2 children (ages 3 and 1.5)- nothing too extravagent is necessary. Nice and clean with a pool possibly.

We were just in PA last summer and stayed at Willow Valley. It is about 45 minutes from Hershey Park. But it was VERY clean and had an indoor and outdoor pool.

We stayed last year at the Suites at Hershey.

It was great. It was a 2 bedroom, 2 bath with kitchen, dining, living room area and a washer and dryer (great for the towels and bathing suits)
It is close enough to hershey that we could see the rollercoasters from our room. But its not Hershey owed. We went last July and the room was the same price per night as it would have been for a regular room at the hershey hotel.

They have an indoor pool and hot tub.

ETA: we went with another family and instead of going out to breakfast we got eggs and stuff from the grocery and just made something which was great for hte kids not to have to sit through another meal. One night we also just ordered Chinese in and it was nice having all the room. We stayed 2 nights as well.

looking for accomodations also. don't want to spend as much money as the hershey hotel but also don't want to be too far from the park. anys recs close to the park?

someone on here recommended the Days Inn near there. There is even a free shuttle from the hotel that takes you to the park. We're looking into going in July or August and this is where we will most likely stay.

We went a few years ago. I wish we had stayed at the Hotel Hershey or Heshey Lodge. They have shuttles to and from the park for FREE. They also give you extra hours if you stay there.

I've stayed at the Days Inn there and was very happy with it. It's very close to the park and a lot less expensive than the Hotel Hershey.

In the pennysaver Comfort inn (1.5 miles from park) was advertising free park tickets with stay

also add $50.00 on friday, saturday or special event nights.
