I can't believe how much $$$ we're saving by switching car insurance!!!
DH & I both owned our own old cars outright when we got married. We were on separate car insurance policies. We're lazy and clearly pretty stupid to have never combined both cars onto 1 policy.
Now that we just bought a new car recently, his car insurance company wanted a RIDICULOUS amount of money for the policy. Like a completely INSANE amount! We both  when we got the #s back.
So we're finally going to switch companies and put both cars on the same policy.
Keeping all the amounts the same for every type of coverage .....
We are going to be saving $2,904.80 a year!
That's $242 a month!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm so freakin happy, it certainly makes having a monthly car payment again not seem so bad.

Was it so easy to switch, a caveman could do it?
And did you give them just 15 minutes... b/c in just 15 minutes, you could end up saving 15% or more on car insurance.

Clearly we were ... at the very least because we had 2 separate policies with 2 different companies.
But even combining the policies with one of the companies, and getting a discount for adding renters insurance, it was still more than the new company w/o adding renters insurance yet.
(yes, I know we really should have renters insurance for our apartment ... that's next  )

I'm sure you asked all the right questions, but just be careful. I am familiar with the insurance industry and sometimes another insurance is less expensive because you aren't getting the same amounts and types of coverage as you were with the first company.

We were worried about the same thing, but we went line by line with both of our previous policies and compared them with the options for the new policy. Everything either matched or was the max value offered (at a higher amount than we previously had).

No real projects since we're still renters.
The plan is to save the money so eventually we can have a  and projects
