Do look for your DH's opinion when you buy something?
I have been on the search for new bag. I have showed him a few online and bought 2 and he thought both were ugly.
He wants me to get a Burberry, LV or Coach. I don't want to spend that kind of money.
I don't ask his opinion on everything except bags and jackets.

I don't ask his opinion on anything I buy other than something we will both use for the house or electronics.

No, but anyway he says he likes what I like - but when it comes to him shopping for clothes or shoes or whatever else he would be wearing, I'm always there to pick out everything for him  and believe me, I'm doing him a big favor

Sometimes I actually do (mostly on clothes, not really on bags and shoes) -- for a rather sporty type of guy he has ridiculously good fashion sense. He also has the amazing ability to remember what I wore on certain past occassions so I don't wear the same thing again if the crowd will be similar!

Rarely, because he has conservative taste and isn't very fashionable. If it was up to him, my entire wardrobe would be from Brooks Brothers.

Yes. I don't let him pick out an outfit for me but if I buy it and plan on wearing it to an event I hope he will like it.
I bought a dress for a wedding last month. As soon as he saw it he made a face like I was force feeding him manure. That ruined it for me how could I possibly wear it.

No, not for bags. He could care less about that, but if we are out shopping at the mall for clothes I will get his opinion.

I hate it when I love something and DH tells me it's ugly. His opinion does matter to me though. But, sometimes he just doesn't understand fashion. He HATES my skinny jeans, but I still wear them.

If we're shopping together, I'll ask him if he likes it, but he likes everything so it's never really constructive. If it's too sequiny or sparkly he'll say he doesn't like it, but most of the time I just pick those things up to tease. But if I'm shopping by myself or online, I don't ask his opinion.

I ask for his input. I have to say I really trust him to tell me if something is not flattering.
As far as bags and shoes, he is very practical. Unless they are sexy heels to wear for a nice occasion, he will suggest I wear sturdy shoes and carry a bag that crosses over my chest, so I can tend to DD more easily

Hell no and I can't stand these women who come into the stores with their husband and and prance in and out of the fitting room making a little fashion show for the husbands. And the women who return clothes b/c their "husband didn't like it" Get some confidence and enjoy the experience on your own!

I do. For being such a "mans man", he has an impeccable sense of fashion...and will always tell me the truth about my butt looking big in something .
