Eyebrow threading.....
why is it so "special" compared to just waxing? I need to have my eyebrows done and I was curious on its benefits over traditional waxing or just plucking.

Re: Eyebrow threading.....
Im not an expert but I was told that consistant waxing damages the skin which eventually stretches it out causing the skin to droop.
I cant confirm that this is true, but I can understand how this could happen over years & years of constant waxing in the same spot.

Re: Eyebrow threading.....
I used to wax, but I've been threading my eyebrows for a few years now and won't wax again! I find that threading gets a nicer shape overall and is much cleaner and lasts longer (for me at least). I don't find it painful at all (for the eyebrow area).
I did have my upper lip threaded once and cried so bad I had to tell her to stop

Re: Eyebrow threading.....
You get less breakouts with threading since nothing is being applied directly to your skin (wax/lotion/etc).
It's similar to tweezing but in large chunks with the thread.
You also get less breakage with threading and the hair is pulled right from the root. whereas with waxing if the waxer pulls too slow or at the wrong angle, you're not getting the hair from the root, just breaking the hair.
no risk of burning from wax that is too hot.

Re: Eyebrow threading.....
my skin is too sensitive for waxing - i've tried it at several places. i get no reaction at all from the threading.

Re: Eyebrow threading.....
better for the skin, since it never touches the skin, but don't dare try it on sensitive areas, because it literally twists the hair out.

Re: Eyebrow threading.....
For me it's less painful than waxing, and I never get red or blotchy and it lasts longer. My girl gets really in there and can get the select hairs to make it pefect - more precise
