She would lie about sending a money order? WOW... That sucks for DH..and you..to have a strained relationship! I feel bad for your DH..hes all happy...and no money order is coming..

maybe I should talk to him.
I no longer have hope.
I nod and say "wow, how weird we never got it" and let it die.
he WILL learn eventually. and it will be a sad realization....but on the plus side, he will look at Josh and Jessie and say one simple word "never".

Aw Janice I am no stranger as well to the inlaw issues. It hurts so bad and can cause so much havoc. Very unfair. So many hugs to you and Leo.

thanks...just took a shower and cried my eyes out.
he wants to take the money and book a 2 day beach trip for my bday. this is going to be so bad.
i said okay. i feel like taking out 500.00 and mailing it to him. this comes at a really bad time. my family all just left after being here this weekend.
he wants to believe in them so bad. after jessie was born he flipped one night while hanging out with our neighbor. said he was done. she isn't welcomed at his house. she doesn't deserve his kids. what i have been waiting to hear, but ughhh...hearing it hurt so badly. no one should feel that or go through this.
thanks. he has been on cloud nine since tuesday, i want him to enjoy it and pray she is for real. if she isn't i just want to have the grace in me to say sorry and move on.

My DH can go with you, he has no hope either
I know though, with my SIL, she hopes so bad that MIL will change....and she never does

just wanted to add...i know it sounds bad, that we want our money back from her...but it is beyond the money.
our relationship has always been one sided...no effort on the other side. she called and wanted us to buy her a car.
dh did. he believed she would pay us back, that she just needed someone to believe in her.
it is so not about the money, just someone who feels he has only one way to belong to this family and wants someone to look at him differently.
bil called for money, car repo'ed day after christmas. but then we see on facebook he is at a cabin in TN(3 hours from our home) with his friend's wife and kids. no one looks for us when it comes to that.
