Background checks
Typically how long does it take a company to do a background check? A friend of mine just got the consent form for a place she's interested in. Is it about a day?

Depends on how long they go back & what it includes - if the candidate moved around alot.
Is it only Federal & State criminal? Does it include employment or education? credit?
If it's employment and/or education, it may take several days. It is definitely not a day if it includes all of the above.
Generally I get them back in about a week unless it has to include an international search.
